COVID-19 Infection Prevention & Control Policy

All of us have been affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. I have missed being able to offer you the treatments that I know you love, and I am looking forward to seeing you again as soon as possible.

My priority is to keep you as safe as possible, and prior to re-opening the salon I have implemented a number of changes which I would like to make you aware of. During the time the salon has been closed, I have completed several COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Control courses and have since made a number of changes in the way that I operate that you will notice when you next visit.

Appointments

If I feel ill or have symptoms of C0VlD-19, I will self-isolate immediately and not open the salon. This may mean that I have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled you will be able to re-book again or ask for a full refund.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display ANY symptoms of cold or flu e.g. aches /  sore throat / cough / fever or if you have been in contact with someone who has confirmed or suspected COVID-19 you must advise me as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. Please contact me to reschedule an appointment.

I am relying on my clients to be 100% honest with me to ensure I can continue to work safely and protect my family.  Please remember if I am exposed to COVID-19 I will be forced to close until I have been tested or I am symptom free.

I have amended my booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to illness. All other T&Cs still apply.

Visiting the Salon

I have recently implemented a new online booking system and digital consultation and treatment forms. I ask that these forms are completed before your visit to the salon.

I will be spacing each appointment 15 minutes apart to limit client contact time and to clean the treatment room between each appointment.

For your safety and to maintain social distancing, I ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible.

When you arrive for your appointment please wait in your car (park on my drive if possible), and message me to let me know you have arrived on 07786377404. I will come out to collect you and bring you in as soon as possible.

All clients will be required to wear a face mask to your appointment. You must arrive wearing it and keep it on for the duration of your appointment unless otherwise advised – Disposable face masks are available if you do not have your own.

Once in the salon you will be required to follow strict hygiene practices including washing and/or sanitising your hands prior to your appointment. I will offer you sanitiser for your hands before entering the premises and exiting.

Please attend your appointment alone to limit the number of people entering the premises. This includes children of all ages. This does not apply if you are the parent or guardian accompanying someone under the age of 16 who is having a treatment.

Please only bring essential personal belongings into the appointment e.g. car keys, purse, mobile phone. All personal belongings will be placed into a plastic/paper bag on entry.

In order to avoid handling of cash, I would prefer if you could pay for your treatment by bank transfer, card or in advance using the online booking system. I will accept cash but will insist we both sanitise our hands after handling.

What else I am doing to ensure we are safe

I understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that I wash my hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.

I have increased the frequency of cleaning in the salon including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client.

All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety.

Wherever possible I will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment that will be disposed of safely after use in order to protect you from cross infection.

I have registered contaminated waste disposal. All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area every day.

I have increased my PPE to include a full face visor.

I have disposable hand towels for drying hands.

I have completed several COVID-19 specific online certification courses.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety, myself and my family. I will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.

NOTE: I have worked hard to put into place some new safety regulations to make your visit to my salon as safe as it can possibly can be. However, I must make you aware that there is a risk of exposure to COVID-19 which exists in any public place where other members of the public are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By visiting my salon, you accept that you do so at your own risk and that the salon cannot be held responsible for the potential expose to and infection by COVID-19.

I will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your appointment or treatments do not hesitate to contact.

Thank you for your understanding,

Julie
